Willerton was born in London. His father, Bruce Willerton (born 1958), is a keen sportsman and competitive triathlete who finished in 44th place in his age group in the long distance Triathlon World Championships 2009 Perth ITU. She is a direct descendant of the famous Cardinal Thomas Wolsey Catholic Church. [2]

She attended the School of St. Ursula in Bristol until 6 and then Cotham School in Bristol.
