Bhattacharya began his film career appearing in Kannada films Khushi and Bisi Bisi. She also modeled for two videos from his album Sonu Nigam Neene Neene Bari. She acted Sahara One TV series Kuchh Love Kuchh Masti it was the Indian adaptation of the popular S series and the City. In 2009, she appeared in two films in Bollywood, Bachelor and 3 Nights 4 Days. His first full fledge role came in the 2010 comedy, Prem Kaa Game with Arbaaz Khan. In 2011, she appeared on the popular theme song "Tinku Jiya" with Dharmendra and Bobby Deol in the film Yamla Pagla Deewana.  It has completed its third Prasad Kannada film in which she plays the mother of a deaf-mute boy eight years old,

Born in Bangalore, but of Bengali origin, Bhattacharya studied at the Army Public School and later went to Mount Carmel College to study psychology and Ramaiah college to study law.  She lived in RT Nagar, Bangalore with his parents, before moving to Bombay to pursue modeling. She won several beauty contests, including the title of Miss Bangalore before embarking on his film career
