Rohit Dhawan directed movie is also starring his younger brother Varun and actress Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles.
"Nargis is doing a cameo in the film. She is making a guest appearance. She will shoot for that once dates are made taking into account the injury of John", the sources said, without revealing details about his role in the film.
Nargis, 36, previously worked with John in 2013 film Shoojit Sircar and romanced Madras Cafe in Varun Dhawan David Main Tera Hero (2014).
Gossip mills are abuzz that superstar Akshay Kumar will also make a cameo in Dishoom. His spokesman was unavailable for comment on it.
The directorial debut of Rohit Desi Boyz Akshay and John had the lead.
