New Delhi: A senior CBI reveals that the actor Sooraj Pancholi and his father, actor Aditya Pancholi, could be accused of abetting the alleged suicide of Nafisa Khan, an actress, model and British-American singer who also appeared Bollywood in the film.
Nafisa Khan made his film debut in the 2007 film Nishabd Ram Gopal Verma for which he was nominated for the Filmfare Best Female Debut. She later said to portray a modern, independent woman in Ghajini which was the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2008. His performance in the latter earned him significant praise. She last appeared in the romantic comedy Housefull Sajid Khan, who was the fifth highest grossing Bollywood film of 2010.
Nafisa Khan was found dead in his apartment in the Sagar Sangeet building in Juhu, Mumbai on June 03, 2013. Jiah, then 25, he was in a relationship with Sooraj Pancholi, son of former actors Aditya and Zarina Wahab.
CBI official said there is enough evidence for the two to be charged which includes letters written by Jiah Sooraj and vice versa, emails, text messages, Facebook chats and details of the phone call.
CBI official also said the research team found evidence that Aditya Pancholi used his influence to push Jiah outside the relationship and Sooraj uses scare tactics to push Jiah in depression.
